Jonas Golfeto is a director, film-maker, actor and visual artist. He was a member of Companhia do Feijão and Cia. Les Commediens Tropicales, where he worked as a performer and actor. As a visual artist and film-maker, he develops hybrid projects in these areas, where photographic language and the dialectic of images are the foundation of his research and creations. He is currently a screenwriter and director of the feature-length documentary “The Feminine in Literature,” scheduled to premiere in 2025. He has received three Incentive Awards: in 2017, for “Palácios Cariados”, a street exhibition o visual art work, in 2018 for the documentary, “Vigília no Meio Fio”, and in 2001 for the short fiction “Repvblica”. He published the photo-literary book “The Gallow of Half-Truth” in 2022. He graduated in Art Photography from SENAC-SP and completed a postgraduate degree in Photography and Art at SENAC-SP in 2023. He teaches art photography courses and provides consultancy in artistic projects.
